Excellent
restored condition. Western Union used a wide variety of
self winding clocks over the years, all made by the
Self Winding Clock Company. We acquired the entire surplus
stock from Compass Technical Services of Paterson, NJ and
will soon have both the smaller 15" as well as the
featured 19" with and without the sweep hand.
Many useful websites have further information about these clocks including methods to synchronize them. They are spring powered and electrically rewind every hour. They used two old fashioned #6 dry cells inside the case to power the rewind but D cell packs of batteries are supplied when restored.
Every clock has the winding and clock mechanisms cleaned, reworked and calibrated and the case is restored and painted to original color.
