Terminal Strips, Blocks, & Lugs Index

Terminal strips and blocks provide an electrical connecting point for a wire conductor which is typically clamped down by a screw. Barriers provide electrical isolation between adjacent connections and prevent strands of wire from shorting. Feedthru connection points provide a solder point for permanently mounted wire conductor typically under the terminal block. Older lug style strips provide a ring in which one or more wire conductors may be wrapped and or soldered for individual connecting points. Terminal lugs are usually bolted to equipment or bus bar on one end and accept large diameter wire conductors clamped down by a set screw.
